Nacarado Gold

Nacarado Gold, also known as Van Gogh, is a very hard quartz rock with a very wide range of colours. The country of origin is Brazil.

During sampling, the strongly changing texture has to be taken into account, which decreases the lower the stone thickness.

Nacarado Gold is suited for interior applications with stone on or between glass as well as for facade solutions with stone between glass. The stone thickness can be between 0.8 and 3.0 mm as required. For exterior applications, a cut-back along the glass edges of approx. 3mm is recommended in laminated glass. In insulating glass, the stone can be positioned toward the space between panes.

For curved versions, we work with a maximum stone thickness of 1.0 mm, depending on the radius.

If the stone is to be laminated on one side on glass, different surface treatments are possible: polished, brushed, buffed, honed.

Next to Ice Flake and Taj Mahal, Nacarado Gold is one of three tested stones which achieves the values of laminated safety glass when laminated between glass. This, as well as the fact that we are talking here about a chemically resistant stone that does not absorb water or moisture, must be taken into account in particular for facade applications.

Conclusion: A great stone, which – due to its particular characteristics – demands a great deal of us during processing!
